Exeter is the historic capital of Devon. It is situated 23 miles west of Peacehaven. If you are into shopping then Exeter is the place to be with all the major shops. Many favourite restaurants can also be found as well as many coffee shops to relax and refuel.

There are many things to do in Exeter including ten pin bowling, a trip to the cinema or theatre, museums and the Underground Passages. Exeter is the home to the ruins of Rougemont Castle and located just outside the castle is Northernhay Gardens– the oldest public open space in England, being oringinally laid out in 1612 as a pleasure walk for the residents of Exeter.

Exeter is home to the Exeter Chiefs and Exeter City FC, as well as Exeter Racecourse. The historic Exeter Quay also hosts kayaking activities, cycling routes and a climbing wall.

If you are in Exeter then why not visit the Cathedral. Situated just off the main shopping area, you can slip into another quieter world around the Cathedral green. The Cathedral is open daily for visitors.
