Axminster is a market town 7 miles north of Harepath Holidays and is famous for being the home of Axminster carpets.
As well as a good selection of shops and cafes in the town there is also the Flamingo swimming pool, a library, several churches, a sports center and the Guildhall which hosts many events and clubs.
One place which is a must visit is The Waffle House , a 100% non-profit café and community space with a menu which centres around its trademark Liège waffles.
