Jurassic Coast World Heritage site.
The East Devon and Dorset Coast World
Heritage Site is England's first natural
World Heritage Site - it is known as The
Jurassic Coast. It covers 95 miles of truly
stunning coastline from Exmouth in East
Devon in the west to Swanage in Dorset
in the east. The sedimentary rocks record
the Earth's history and are full of fossils
and other interesting features.
If you fancy trying a spot of fossil hunting,
we believe the best place to go is Seatown
at low tide. Stroll along the beach with
your eyes down and you will soon be collecting
fossils, including belemnites and ammonites.
